An Educational Community

The Omprakash Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 organization that aims to be an educational resource for the world by leading people out into a community through which diverse local needs and assets can be expressed and shared on a global scale. We offer a free database of volunteer opportunities around the world, and we provide grants to potential volunteers in need of funding.  

At the very least, we hope that this website will encourage visitors to reflect upon their roles as global citizens, and that this act– even if largely imaginative– will be educational in and of itself.

What We Do

-We work to create partnerships with diverse grassroots health and education projects that need human and material resources, and offer space on our website for each partner to represent itself and its needs to a global audience. We encourage you to read more about our partners and consider volunteering, fundraising, or donating.

We want to help connect volunteers with organizations where they are needed!

We are also excited to offer grants to support qualified volunteers who need additional financial resources in order to serve.

The work of the Omprakash Foundation is driven not by any grand vision of social reform, but rather by the simple belief that meaningful social action must begin on the human-to-human level: we cannot help each other until we know each other. The Omprakash network emerged from the relationships that its directors forged while volunteering abroad, and this network has continued to expand as more volunteers have served at grassroots educational projects around the world. We invite and encourage you to become part of this network by volunteering at one of the projects represented on this website.
